4-21-08: Popsicle Stick Rainbow. ALSO, for
those of you in the Portland area, you should
all go check out Stumptown this weekend. I won't
be there, but Neil Brideau will have some of my
stuff at his table, along with his new book and
some of Shayna's stuff.

4-14-08: Patrick S and Robert D save the
day! I'll be back next week with new stuff.

4-06-08: New comic. I wanted to do a digital
needlepoint, and this was the result. Also,
there might not be a comic next week, since
I'm going to be away... so if anyone wants
to do a guest, that would be rad.

3-31-08: New observational comic. Spring is
occasionally in the air these days. Also, I
watched the first three episodes of the John
Adams miniseries and liked it a lot.

3-25-08: I wanted to do this a few weeks ago,
but didn't get around to it. Better late than
never.

3-17-08: I was very busy this week, so I
did a little Public Service remix for the
kids. I don't want to set a bad example.

3-10-08: New wallflower comic. For those
of you who like my band, there's a new song on our myspace page.

In capitalist pig news, I'm going to be removing
the water and first kiss stories from the site
in the next few weeks. I'm working on a book and
I'd like it to be worth something to people.
Hopefully you won't hate me for this...those
who know me will attest that self-promotion
and shrewd marketing tactics are pretty much
avoided like the plague, but in this case I
think it makes the most sense.

3-2-08: New wallflowers comic. Hope everyone
had an exciting leap year, and that your
local newspapers all ran hilarious stories
about elderly people turning 20.

2-25-08: New photo comic. Back to pens
next week.

2-18-08: The Nihilist tells a joke. Attempt
at your own peril. Color version will be
up in the forum midweek.

2-11-08: New wallflower comic.

2-4-08: New comic to make you feel real
loose like a long neck goose.

1-28-08: New comic. Probably I'll do
more of these. Also, I'm going to be
out of town next weekend, so a new comic
is like a 50/50 shot. I'll try my best.

1-21-08: New comic. Love to MLK.

1-15-08: Probably more trouble than
it's worth.

1-7-08: New comic/drawing thing.

12-31-07: New flash comic. Moving
is tiring. Happy New Year.

promise. Also, I'm moving at the end of the
month, so it's possible I will miss an update

11-26-07: I sort of burned out on the story and
needed a break. I'll pick it up next week. I was
going to post nothing, but I made this instead.

11-19-07: New comic. Welcome to the new
site! I think it is an improvement. To celebrate
I'm selling a piece of artwork. It's the drawing
used in the last panel of the water series. It's
signed and drawn with archival ink on a sheet of
8.5 by 11 paper. Here is a picture of it. I'm
selling it for 45 dollars, so e-mail me if you're
interested and we can figure it out. Have a
happy Turkey Day.

11-12-07: Part two. Will be five.

11-5-07: First part of a new story. It should wind
up being three or four pages. I'm also working on
a new site design, which hopefully will be up in
next couple weeks.

10-29-07: New comic. I'm bringing sexy back.
And given the amount of sports I've been
watching, I'm sort of amazed it exists.

with part one of a two part experiment in

the double digits. In other news, my 25th birthday
is on Thursday. Get well soon.

8-19-07: New comic. It requires Flash player,
which I think most people have these days,
but apologies if you don't. It's nice to be
back.

8-13-07: The second and final guest week. Thank
you so much to everyone who submitted. It was
very helpful, and I had an awesome vacation. Also
I had some time to update the photo site. See you
all bright and early next Monday with some
spanking new material.

8-6-07: Week one of guest comics. Thanks to
everyone who submitted. If your submission
isn't up this week, it will be posted next week.
And there is still time to submit if you haven't
already!

7-30-07: My 100th comic. Guest comics
for the next two weeks. Be good.

7-22-07: Let's hope none of them read
obscure web comics.

Also, this week marks the two year anniversary
of this site. Not to get too sentimental, but it
feels like longer and I'm very encouraged by my
progress and by all of your support. I'll try to keep
things interesting.

I'll have a new comic next week, and then I'm
gone for two, so if you'd like to do a guest
comic and haven't already, it would be huge. Thanks for reading!

7-9-07: New color comic. And I added a bunch
of new links, so show them some love.

7-2-07: New water series comic. ALSO! I am
going on vacation the first two weeks of August,
so if anyone wants to do a guest strip, it would be
very, very appreciated. I realize that this comic
doesn't really lend itself to guest strips, so anything
anyone wants to send, however weird or seemingly
unrelated to (idiot comics) would be awesome. Thanks!

6-25-07: New comic, dedicated to my friend
Mike, who I lost touch with, but thought a lot
about while making this comic.

6-18-07: Hi everyone! New, double-long comic
this week, dedicated with love to my Dad, who
is utterly awesome and hopefully hasn't told
anyone at work how his son spends his free
time.

In other news, I've had some 1" buttons made,
and they are now available for a dollar in the
store, or for free if you buy anything else.

Also, a literary journal I published in was
reviewed and I was mentioned. It is HERE.

6-11-07: My Great Uncle Dellwyn died recently, so
rather than post a comic this week, I am posting a
book he illustrated in 1946. I only had a few years
to get to know him, and most of our interactions
were under less than ideal circumstances, but I'm
grateful for the time and proud to be related to
someone so special. Enjoy.

2-06-07: New strip (literally...haha). I was
in florida with my dad for the weekend. It was
warm and fun. And I saw Babel, which is good
but sort of hard to watch, although not as hard
to watch as Mysterious Skin, which makes Todd
Solondz look like Frank Capra. See you next

1-29-07: New comic orb. Also, I saw Witness for
the first time, and it only served to further cement
in my mind the notion that the most awesome
kind of love is FORBIDDEN AMISH LOVE. If you have not experienced F.A.L. first hand, then you
are really just completely half-assing it. Get a
move on!

own a Polish to English dictionary, but it's

consecutively, partly because this one was
exhausting, and also I think three months of

comic took longer than expected. Props also go

finally got around to updating my links section.

9-25-06: This week's comic. It is dedicated
to jigsaw puzzles, which don't get nearly
as much love as they deserve.

9-18-06: New old comic. Back next week
with all fresh ingredients. Also, I finally
redesigned and updated my tattered and
neglected namesake site. It is available for

9-11-06: Lottery. And of course, much love to
all the people who lost people 5 years ago.
Here's hoping you endure with strength the
annual commercialization of your loss.

9-4-06: New, full color comic. I will maybe
tell the whole story sometime, although it
would be quite an undertaking. I've also
included a very special Labor Day bonus
comic. And feel free to drop by my new

Finally, I would like to pay my respects
to the Crocodile Hunter. He will be missed.
We should all be so lucky to die from a sting
ray barb through the heart. That is living.

8-29-06: Comic. And there is good news to
be relayed! I am very excited to report that I
have been welcomed into the fold by the
bewitching and amazingly talented folks at
Transplant Comics. The details are still being
worked out, but I will let everyone know when
it is all set up. In the meantime, I suggest you
hurry over there right now and read some of the
best web comics around.

In other news, I'd like to say hello and thanks to
Sena over at That's Plenty for the link and the
very accurate description of me.

And, on a serious note, I feel compelled to share a
very important news story with everyone. You may
have read about it on the front page at cnn.com.
Hard hitting stuff. It's nice to see that serious
journalism is alive and well.

8-28-06: This is pretty old, but it will have to
do for now. The new comic will be up tomorrow.
Also, here is a drawing of my great-uncle.
Apologies too for the weird image quality. I was
experimenting with shading, and apparently
it does not do so well when the dpi is
reduced. Lesson learned.

8-21-06: No...it's not a gum commercial. It's a
double update! Bunnies and Frankenstein. For
no other reason than one or the other felt skimpy.
Soak up the summer before it's gone, people.

8-14-06: Dannon Frusion Smoothie is the way to
go, I think, personally. Yogurt. ALSO, I now
have a listing at OnlineComics.net. I don't
really know why, but I do. My hope is that this
knowledge will benefit you in some way that I
don't yet understand. And......sleep.

8-7-06: And maybe Marlon Brando will be there
by the fire. We'll sit and talk of Hollywood and
the good things there for hire. And the Astrodome.

and me.

7-31-06: As promised, a weekly update. And
maybe more information than you needed. I
will also seriously think it over before ever
again committing to bathroom tile. I should also
mention that this website celebrated its first
anniversary a few days ago. Not to get too
misty eyed, but it has been fun and i've learned
a lot. I should mention also that "year two" will
probably include a little bit less of the "sunday
punchline" stuff (not that I ever did too much of
that anyway). I am going to try some different
things and to shake things up a little, but hopefully
it will still be funny. Thanks for a great first year,

recently...I have been battling illness or something.

5-8-06: New comic about dating! It's dedicated
to Daisuke, with apologies for not updating more
often. Also, I've been really enjoying Drew &
Natalie's joint venture Married to the Sea. I
highly recommend it.

4-24-06: You know what's hilarious? Landscaping
jokes. I mean...right? Who's with me?

4-8-06: A new one about a polar bear. Also, I've
put up two of my great uncle Dellwyn's hilariously

4-1-06: Happy fools day, everyone. Here's a
new comic, as inspired by Crawdaddy's Bayou Bar
and Grill in West Chester, PA.

3-21-06: Hooray for new comics! Not at all hooray for depleted uranium. Not at all.

2-21-06: I got the complete New Yorker Cartoon
collection and was inspired to do a silly but
shrewdly satirical gag panel. Two can play
that game, Monocle Man!

2-10-06: New installment in the Apt Metaphors
series. Also, be sure to watch the 2-hour
Arrested Development finale tonight. Then
cry yourself to sleep.

2-06-06: A new comic inspired, in part, by a
discussion of fruit stripe gum I overheard on the
subway. Remember fruit stripe gum? Haha.
Also, I'd like to congratulate Bill Cowher for
edging out Mike Holmgren in this year's Creepy
Mustachioed Coach Bowl.

1-31-06: A new comic. My computer had to go
back to the shop for the week, but it appears to
be working now, so hopefully there won't be any
more update delays...

1-15-06: A new comic...for the love of god.

1-09-06: Happy fucking really late New Year
everyone! I am very sorry for the lack of
updates recently, but the combination of the
holidays, moving to a different state/finding
an apartment, a broken computer, and going back
to the original state for a weekend show has
made drawing/posting new comics difficult. On
the bright side, I have back-logged a lot of
material, so I will be cranking them out once
I get settled in my new apartment. Until then,
I suggest you show love to some of my linked
compatriots.

12-26-05: Happy holidays...here's a thing I did
for the occasion.

12-18-05: So I've broken down and opened a
Myspace account. I haven't really figured out
what it's for, but if you like the comic and want to be my web-friend, then you should click HERE
and add me.

12-16-05: So this week's comic is somewhat
unusual, in that it's like 15 years old, but I still
think it's funny. Plus, it works as a precursor and/or
companion piece to the blinded comic I just
did. If I find any other funny old stuff I did, I'll be
sure to put it up.

12-12-05: Hi everybody! This week's comic is
the first in a small series called "Apt Metaphors."
I have a few more planned, but I probably won't
post them consecutively, because I don't want
them to get the wrong idea and start thinking
they're moving in or something.

12-06-05: A new comic about going blind. If,
after reading, you wish to purge yourself of the
relentless guilt tearing you apart inside, then I
suggest you go and donate some money to this
fine institution. They do good work.

11-30-05: So I wanted to do an autumn-themed
comic in the style of a Peanuts or Calvin & Hobbes
Sunday strip. This was the result. It's also the
first full color comic I've posted...so I guess that's
something.

11-18-05: Consider us even, PUSA.

11-10-05: For those of you interested in seeing
what the watercooler comic looks like when shrunk
down and on newsprint, check out this week's
New York Press. Special thanks to Aaron Leopold
for the opportunity.

11-08-05: A new comic for all to see! Sorry for
the update delay, but I had an unfortunate run-in
with a vicious gang of pirates (or possibly high
school kids dressed up as pirates). As I opened the
door to bestow fun-sized Snickers on them, I was
beaten to the brink of death with socks full of hard
candy, then taken to a basement for the second
most degrading photoshoot of my entire life (the
first if you don't count ones I was paid for).
Anyway, between the reconstructive surgery and
the hours of shower-crying, I just couldn't find the
time to do a new comic. Plus, I couldn't think of
anything funny.

10-19-05: More newness.

9-23-05: More legally questionable trademark infringement. Please don't sue me, Penguin
Group. Not only would it be devastating
financially, it would most likely forever tarnish my
perception of penguins. I just cant have that.

9-15-05: Idiot comics goes blue! Panda blue!

9-03-05: The introduction (and final appearance,
most likely) of Seymour Shaw, caustic prick extra-
ordinaire. It also has a punchline, if that sweetens the deal at all...

9-01-05: Here's an oldie (but goodie) I cleaned up recently. I'll post something new very soon.

8-25-05: Sorry it's been a little while since I posted
last...I'll try to make up for it with a relentless
comic barrage in the coming weeks. In the
meantime, enjoy my foray into Greek Mythology.

8-8-05: Holy christ on toast...two comics in a week!
It's also the third straight comic to feature a color
that is neither black nor white. Most probably no
one else cares, but I find this to be a particularly
curious development. I'd also like to thank the
Corporation for Public Broadcasting for making
this comic possible. And, of course, viewers like you.

8-6-05: This week's comic is dedicated with love
to the USA Network Original "Monk."

7-27-05: Watchin amazement as I ingeniously
transform an ill-fated reference I made into an
equally ill-fated comic featuring the very same
reference that didn't work in the first place.

7-20-05: Hello and welcome. I'm very excited
and proud to finally launch this site, as it has
been atop my to-do list for a few months now.
I've never really had a forum devoted to these
sorts of things, but I do now, which is nice.

Anyway, thanks for checking it out, even if
you don't think it's very funny, or leave right
after reading this....I could never stop loving
you.
